The Origin of the Bible by F.F. Bruce
"Many books have been written about the Bible, but few explain its origins. This volume provides a fascinating overview of how the Bible was first inspired, canonized, read as sacred literature, copied in ancient Hebrew and Greek manuscripts, and eventually translated into the languages of the world. No other one-volume…

The Earliest Gospel Manuscript? : The Qumran Fragment 7Q5 and It's Significance for New Testament St
The Dead Sea Scrolls are back in the limelight. This is the right moment to reopen the case of Qumran Cave 7. Found in 1955, this cave contained a curious collection of exclusively Greek fragments on papyrus only - an exception among all caves discovered at this site. What might these unique documents be? When the…

Eyewitness to Jesus - Carsten Peter Thiede / Matthew D'Ancona
Christmas Eve 1994 would have come and gone like any other, had it not been for three tiny papyrus fragments discussed in The Times of London's sensational front-page story. The avalanche of letters to the editor jarred the world into realizing that Matthew d'Ancona's story was as big as the discovery of the Dead Sea…

The Jesus Papyrus - Carsten Peter Thiede and Matthew D'Ancona
Are three scraps of papyrus long mouldering in an Oxford college the most sensational evidence of Christ on earth since the Turin Shourd.

Rekindling the Word: In Search of Gospel Truth - Carsten Peter Thiede
It is Christmas 1994. A distinguished German papyrologist is about to transform our understanding of the Gospels. With little more than the evidence of a few tiny scraps of papyrus, Dr. Carsten Thiede will explain to the world why he believes that the writers of the Gospels actually witnessed the Sermon on The Mount. He…

The Character of Christ
Most experienced Christians are familiar with the Fruit of the Spirit listed in the apostle Paul’s Letter to the Galatians where we read of qualities like love, peace, and patience. These are considered both gracious marks of true Christian character and ideals to aim for. But what do they look like when lived to the…

In Living Color: Images of Christ and the Means of Grace by Daniel R. Hyde
While man has universally and perpetually desired the visual in his relationship with God, God has given his people the Word and sacraments as manifestations of his presence until Christ comes again, visibly and corporeally___in living color. This is the classic Reformed exegesis of Scripture as expressed in its…

Selected Shorter Writings (2 vols) by Benjamin B Warfield and John Meeter
This anthology of Warfield's most valuable shorter writings is being reprinted by popular demand. In these two volumes, the editor brings together over 100 articles, including book introductions, book reviews, encyclopedia articles, sermons, and a small book "The Right of Systematic Theology." Many selections are less…

These Last Days: A Christian View of History by Richard D. Phillips (editor) and Gabriel N. E. Fluhr
This is a book about an evil age. Specifically, it is about "the present evil age" that we live in right now. For many Christians, the expression "these last days" refers to the time right before the second coming of Christ but according to the apostles, the last days started with the first coming of Christ and continue…

The Banner of Truth Catalog
It seems that pretty much any book by Banner of Truth (e.g. the Puritan paperbacks, the J.C. Ryle Sermons, the letters by Newton, Rutherford, and others, the biographies on church leaders, or any of the rest of the BOT catalog) is unavailable on Logos. This is a challenge that is bigger than just adding one book, but I…

Transfiguration and Transformation by Hywel R Jones
Our Bibles consistently use the noun 'Transfiguration' with regard to Jesus but 'Transformation' with regard to the Christian - and yet it is one and the same verb, transliterated 'metamorphosed, ' that is used in those places in the original text. Why is that so? Is there an important difference between them? And why does…

The Life of a God-Made Man by Dan Doriani
God's love and grace have always gone before His demands. And it is that grace that transforms hearts into the father, husband, friend and leader that God desires men to be. Ignoring the trend to reduce Christian manhood to a string of methods and lists, Dan Doriani instead explores the nature of God. With a truth-telling…

Allow users to create plugins for logos
There are a lot of suggestions on here that are rather old, but popular ideas. There are also likely some people who have some programming skills that could probably tackle some of these issues if it is too much for your team. If you open up the system to allow for community enhancements, Logos can probably get an influx…

TLV's Romans 11:10 footnote i error
The TLV has an error in its footnote i, found at the end of Romans 11:10. It reads "11:10. Ps. 69:22-23." It should read "11:10. Ps. 69:23-24." Which can be seen in the attached image. Verses 22-23 is correct for a translation like the ESV. But the Old Testament verse numbering used by the TLV is the same as is used in the…
