Allow copying a portion of a verse - not just the whole thing - through CBV Custom Styles interface. Perhaps a %UseHighlightedText tag would do it. It’s such a common thing that pastors do to quote a portion of a verse.

This is already possible - unless I completely misunderstand your request. Go to the program's settings and scroll down to the last third of available options. There is a dropdown that let's you highlight text intelligently, by word, or by letter (? I come from the German software version, not sure what the 3 options are in English).
I at least can copy even just a fragment of a word from within a Bible passage to my Logos Documents in this way.

    Still voting for this...

Apparently this works on Windows but not on Mac.

If I select part of a verse, right click, choose Selection, then Copy verse: styled, it copies the whole verse, not just the selection.

    Might be a bug.

    I want...

    Romans 5:2 (ESV)
by faith into this grace in which we stand

    I get...

    Romans 5:2 (ESV)
Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
