A few things have tripped me up with the notes window. The software is wonderfully complex and flexible, but that also has its downsides. Most of the explanations of features are either overly complicated or vague, so beginners end up making mistakes that can be very time consuming to fix.

I'm just starting out and the explanation of searches plus the differences between tags and labels were hard to understand. Now I have 1,700 highlights and notes that I need to correct labels and tags and it's not going to be easy.

1) While you can add a label with attributes in the Notes panel, the Notes panel does not allow you to search or filter for those same labels. Instead, I have to use the Search window, click on the verse link and then individually edit them.

2) If I got lucky and have tags on the highlights, I can filter for those tags in the Notes panel, but the label field disappears when you select more than one of those highlights, so you can't batch edit them.

3) It would be greatly beneficial to be able to filter for and batch edit labels, attributes and values. Once you've selected multiple highlights or notes, the data panel in Notes could simply list the Labels as it does with tags. In a more advanced view, it could list the Labels, categorized with attributes and values. Allowing the user to delete and add a Label would be fantastic start. Allowing the user to edit the labels, attributes and values would be tremendously powerful.
