Text Options in Clippings Document

I have a Clippings document where it would be useful to add a background colour to parts of the clippings. There does not appear to be a way of doing this. Any ideas?

    Just to (belatedly) add to this. I would find it helpful to be able to add different colours to the background and/or the borders of clippings (or to highlight the clipping text). That way I could differentiate e.g., between the clipping of a Bible verse, a clipping from a commentary and a clipping from another source document. As it is, they all run on with no real visual differentiation.
