When in column selection, None is selected, scrolling with a mouse or arrow key will follow the desktop settings, a few lines at a time, providing a gradual scroll.
If anything else is selected the page jumps a window size, not providing a smooth and gradual scroll only pages at at time (based on the pane size).
Suggestion - disconnect scrolling with the column selection. Allow for smooth scrolling for any column selection.
