Susan E. Cartmell's UnCommon Preaching: An Alternative to the Lectionary should be in Logos. Mind you, I disagree with much of the book but it does offer two useful indices:

- Coordinating Themes with Biblical Curriculum: This associates Biblical stories with basic themes
- Pulpit Curriculum: This lists "essential preaching texts" assuming that you have a narrative focus (only 4 entries from the epistles)

Flavor of the book? Think mainline Protestant (Congregational) visiting Unitarian and Evangelical churches to learn that themed preaching works ... and taking that insight back into her congregation.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
