Using the Highlighting bar in Notes

I love to use the "Notes" function for sermon preparation. I would love it if notes was more interactive. For example, The "highlighting" bar is excellent. However, I want to use it in "Notes" not just on the Biblical text. It would also be possible to use a digital pen in "Notes" as well. Are there plans to develop "Notes" to include such functions? thanks
