This is one step towards broadening the Logos base by supporting basic Bible study methods that are familar while slowly introducing Logos features. See L/V 10+ Tip of the Day #319 Convert your Bible highlight/markup spouse, child, parent, buddy ... to Logos - Logos Forums.
In building the prototype, the following issues were noted:
The Logos book defining a method, the highlighting palette(s) implementing a method, and the workflow for using the method need to be tied together in some way - perhaps with metadata of the method name and source? only the workflow is mandatory - the others are optional. Looking ahead, I would suggest that visual filters also be included.
It would be useful to be able to have the headings in the Logos verification section to have the same highlight as they are verifying. I was unable to copy highlighted text into the workflow editor and retain the highlight.
It is not acceptable to have the workflow able to apply only once to a specific reference span - Bible study is a spiral ... a circular pattern growing a bit each pass through
When linking to a Search, it would be helpful to be able to apply the reference range of the workflow to the search.
It would be helpful to have a built-in Factbook call.
The total layout of workflow-palette-Bible could be designed to be a bit more inviting.
It would be advantageous for all workflows to fall into a single notebook - either with sub-notebooks or prefixes to title serving as "sub-notebook".
The discoverability of user provided workflows needs to be improved, along with some quality control where users can report incomplete workflow templates (there are some that are literally nothing more than a title), duplicated Logos workflow templates, ... to Logos which then insures that the templates be removed from the shared public pool.
