Prices of the books in the library?

With BibleWorks going belly-up a few years ago, there don't seem to be any other big players in the field. Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this lack of competition the explanation for why the prices of the books on the Logos platform are now nearly as much as the hard copies in the bookstores? Personally I am reluctant to invest in these 'books', when (despite the assurances of the platform) they can easily just disappear if the platform ceases to function/ trade/ exist. So I will not be buying many of these; the medium is sketchy and the prices are way too high. While features such searchable text, etc. are attractive, for me the possibility of losing what I paid so much for outweighs any advantages. Give me a book made out of mashed trees any day; I will literally have it for life.
