Freedom to create less saturated highlight colors

I find the saturation level of the highlight colors to be too strong, which makes it hard to read. I would like to create custom highlight colors that are less bright (like #eed;), but there is only so much freedom in the highlighter creator.

@Dave Gifford – it's already possible to create custom highlighting styles with reduced saturation, although not quite to the level you're asking for. Is this sufficient for your needs: https://support.logos.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016517891-Highlighting#Custom

Yes I know how to do that. But I am requesting there be a way to make custom highlights that are lighter and duller (less saturated) so that it is easier on the eyes to read highlights.
