Lower left pop-ups...

Is there any way that you could give logged-in users a way to opt out of the lower-left pop-up windows? Or at the very least limit them to 1 (or even less) per page. The pop-ups seem to be the most annoying when trying to filter things while shopping. I am getting them multiple times per page, especially when filtering or returning to the page from browsing an item or product.
