Select Note icon automatically in highlighter editor

When using a custom highlight palette, it would be useful to have an icon automatically come up on the associated note.
For example, if I'm studying intertextuality and readiing a book, say, Richard Hays, Echoes of Scripture in the Letters of Paul, I might be using several highlighting styles for different purposes. When I highlight the text, I then make a note. Using an icon means I can then read the note while looking back over the text rather than going throughthe notebook. What I'd like, then, is to have say, yellow highlighter automatically bring up the note icon, blue underline the lightbulb icon, etc.
It seems this should be possible when creating or editing a style, possibly in the Labeling section (or add a new section).
