Does any one know if Dr. Buist Fanning will be writing the Evangelical Exegetical Commentary (EEC) on Hebrews? I tried searching in the search bar and quit scrolling after several entries.
It appears Dr. Fanning is listed as the author, here: https://lexhampress.com/product/7565/evangelical-exegetical-commentary
Jason, thanks for the response. Do you know a timeline? It was supposed to be months ago, but it is not showing a date. What happened?
The status for Hebrews shown at the linked description of EEC is "In writing." This precedes "In production." Based on how long commentaries take other scholars to write, "in writing" could mean anything up to some number of years before you see it. So for a series like this, we all need to practice healthy living to ensure we're here to enjoy the full set once that last volume is published.
I wish I did, but I do not have a timeline. I'm sorry!
Not sure what you mean by, we all need to practice healthy living". What does this have to do with any of the comments?
Jason, thanks again for your amazingly quick response. Really liking the new format here on the forums.
I was commenting wryly (or so I thought) on the fact that this series projected to be 49 volumes is in the early stages of release, with 15 volumes now available. I own the series to date, and I look forward to continuing to receive the volumes not yet released as they become available. My comment was a reference to the fact that production of such large series - involving as it does significant undertakings by the authors - can take a long time.
So as to live long enough to acquire + use the product!!!

Indeed! I was one of the original investors, when the entire series was projected to be completed in 2019 🙄

C.S. Lewis's spiritual classic Mere Christianity is listed in Logos with a $12.99 price, but when you go to the product page, it says "This product is only available for purchase in one of the collections below", with the only option being the $400 ($380 for subscribers) C.S. Lewis Collection that basically covers all of…
Bought a new Tablet for 'full function'. Win11 Pro/24H2 so I was told I had to have for this ' full function'. I installed your Windows Desktop App on this Tablet. I cannot access my bought software for love or money. Spent much time and effort and grief trying to get it to work to work properly; what a waste so far.
I just received the new resource "Matthew: The Christian Standard Commentary" by Holman. But compared to the rest of the series (10 of them so far): this book has series "The Christian Standard Commentary", the other 10 are all "Christian Standard Commentary"; this book is type Commentary, the other 10 are type Bible…
I just got it now and noticed that it's "unavailable on mobile at this time." It's very disappointing. Is it because it was just published on Logos or is there another issue? I'm hoping it will be available sooner than later.
2 questions. Does Logos or anyone know of or have a Modern Greek Translation recommendation? Does Logos or anyone know of or have a Modern Greek Translation with a NT Greek Interlinear I am taking a modern Greek class and think it would be interesting to have.
