The New button is simply a link to a feedback post.
The Dynamic Toolbar "New" tag will be hidden after four weeks of being initially displayed in V38, according to the Logos 38.0 release notes.

I'm using the recent tablet version, but unless I'm connected to wifi I can't even search my top Bible. I couldn't find anything about it in the 'help'. Am I doing something wrong?
