Multi-reference driver for layout for switching quickly between multiple passages

I rarely am studying a single passage - whether working through a list of cross-references, or referred to as, or parallel passages, or lectionary readings, I am constantly working through a list of passages or flipping between a set of passages. I finally realized that if I used a passage list, I could mimic part of what I need. Although I cannot specifically tie the passage list to a link set, I can tie a link set to the Bible; the passage list will default to the Bible. So if I click on a reference in my passage list, the entire layout switches to that passage.

What I would like to see is this made into a formal feature:

  • make all guides, factbook pages, lectionaries, and searches able to save their list of passages as a "passage list"
  • allow an indication on the passage list what link set it is driving
  • Create forward/back navigation in the passage list panel and as keyboard shortcuts.
  • Ensure that the sermon builder and the lesson maker can remain stable while the remainder of the layout follows the passage list … this would be the start of processing lectionary multi-passage sermons and lessons.
  • Nice but not essential - make a super skinny to minimize the space that the driving passage list takes - just the abbreviated references is essential.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."
