AI Usage 13%

Since we have the AI usage indication and mine just reset today I though I would report my results if anyone is interested.

I hit 13% yesterday.

I'm on the PRO subscription level.

I did a couple of dozen smart searches. (not sure if there's a way to tell how many I did)

I made 75 summaries of chapters within several books I was reading.

- I saved each of the results and pasted them at the chapter heading as a new note.

- I gave each AI generated summary note a tag and also used a different color note icon to make it obvious later.

In the Notes tool I did not see a way to filter by the icon shape or color. That could be useful. But by adding the tag of AI I can go back and make a count.

    It might be nice to give the user the option to pay overage fees for AI usage. Busy pastors or researchers might be willing to pay this if they use AI features a lot and really need the tool for a sermon or paper due this week. This would similar to a Starlink plan that gives you the option of paying per GB for overage on your monthly data cap. I could imagine this account setting either in your profile on the Logos website or within the App settings.

    there is no one-to-one measurement for these things and depending on the complexity of what you ask for and how many words are in the document you summarise, etc, you'll get different results but it's interesting to track. Also, from time to time, Logos increase the allocation, so that makes things interesting when tracking.

    I am tracking by making a note of every AI related usage, just to see how things go. In the first month I reached 80% in the first two weeks. At that stage I joined others in asking for the counter in order to assist with self management.

    last month I was on holidays so didn't get as much Logos time and I used:

    6% = 36 uses

    17 x smart searches with synopsis

    9 x chapter summaries

    7 x smart search no summary

    3 x Summary in factbook results

    This month my count started again when I upgraded to the two year option and the AI count reset so I'll see how far I get by mid January.
