You are comparing Zebras to Anteaters. Logos provides a smart search that uses AI assistance in selecting and prioritizing the response. It IS NOT a chat bot and should not be compared to them. Your simple queries are not examples of what a smart search attempts to do. They are questions designed for chatbots to give answers of variable quality and detail.

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

I understand the point you're making, and I know the difference between an AI assistant and a chatbot.

I suggest to the developers that a genuine chatbot would be far more useful than the current AI assistant.

I experimented on a handful of research papers with Google’s Notebook LM and I would love to see this kind of functionality built into Logos to interrogate resources beyond Smart Summary.

BTW, if anyone wants to read one perspective on AI, check out John Lennox’s book ‘2084’.

Those mainstream AI systems are not "free".

The cost has been the personal and sensitive data and intellectual property of all of existing human digital resources. Which was taken without warning or consent. And will continue to do so without regard to ethics or the purpose of copyright law.
