Increase the number of panels (more than 4) that can be included in a layout; e.g., 6 or 8.
What platform. On the desktop I've not run into a limit - and I commonly use 10
@K. Dirk Berard - are you speaking of the default set of Layouts that you can see when you click the Layout Icon?
If so, as @MJ. Smith mentioned, I've also never run into a limit - my current opened Layout runs between 15 and 20 depending on what I keep open.
In case you're not aware - you're not limited to those default layout setups on the Desktop App - you can create your own by opening whatever resources that you would like to be a part of the Layout and adjusting the size (both width and height) of each tab to your liking.
I think he might be referring to the app.logos.com which has a 4 limit?
Thanks; all of your responses are helpful.
I think something that would help layouts entirely is to be able to have multiple instances of Logos running at the same time. For people with multiple monitors… having multiple instances of Logos ability would be a great blessing.
And "open to full screen" is not the same as "multiple instances of Logos". With "multiple instances" you get the full power of the Logos program "multiple times". Many programs allow this now…. I hope Logos will soooon! 😎
You can run two versions parallel - one Logos, one Verbum. However, as they use separate library instances so unless you have a small library, it becomes a resource hog.
I am not a pastor and use my work computer for studies which does not allow downloading extra apps due to security. It would be nice to have an easy way to save layouts in the web app version for people who have to use that version.
I'm trying to search just the community highlights and/or copy/paste all of the community highlights out of a resource. Or, there should be a way to copy/paste a large portion of a resource and have the community highlights show up in the destination paste?
The Dynamic Toolbar has a "Hide Secondary Toolbar" feature, but when enabled it is not remembered in saved layouts or resources. As a result, users have to continually select "Hide the Secondary Toolbar" over and over.
Patristics i.e. historical Bible commentaries, hagiographies, theology seems to have reached a plateau which does not include original language manuscripts or standard reference indexing. Just as was done for Bible manuscripts, I suggest that integrating external sites into Logos is the obvious path forward. Therefore,…
I buy lots of books. Some are intended as background, to feed the search engine, or as standard resources to check. Others, however, especially monographs, I tend to purchase, be excited about… and then forget entirely that they exist, I own them, and want to read. I would like an easy way to put a book into a list of…
