Advanced Timeline and Mapping integration

I would like to see the Advanced Timeline integrated with maps. These are some of my thoughts:

  1. It would require at least the linkage of the Advanced Timeline and the set of maps that a user has. This way, I can see where an event took place in addition to when. For example, view Paul's missionary journeys one at a time. When the user clicks on an entry in the timeline, the mapping system would show where that event took place. Also very good for all the battles in the OT, Israel's journey in the Sinai desert, and the Lord's career, esp. during His passion.
  2. Sync non-biblical resources. For example, I own about 140 issues (I think that's all) of Christian History magazine. It would be nice to see all the events that took place, say at Geneva, from the collection.
  3. Currently, maps are individual, isolated, resources. It would be nice if Logos did one or both of the following:
    1. Develop an integrated map set with linkage to the Advanced Timeline. That way one wouldn't have to link, or purchase and link, maps.
    2. Develop a way to automatically link all of a user's maps into the system so that I don't have to open a map each time that the period under consideration changes.
    3. Go through as many resources as possible and tag them correctly for the Advanced Timeline. Big job but it would be nice. Logos burned me on this one. I was told by both sales and support that any resources with date information would appear on the Advanced Timeline. Not true.
    4. Finally, create a tool that enables users to automatically AND manually tag our resources for date information so that, as last, all our historical resources work with the Advanced Timeline.

Logos, the tools are nice but we need better integration.
