popular highlights needs AI, a resolution setting and to be searchable.

I've just opened a book which appears to be popular highlighted throughout to the extent that its not really useful to know what the popular highlights are… it would be much more useful if they were limited to like the top 3 quotes per chapter or something.

I would very much value the ability to help focus my reading and understanding of a book quickly by using a combination of AI summaries and popular highlights. E.g. the AI summary can give me a quick overview but also show… the key quotes are such and such, read them here - link.
