Sorry the post is in a comment … yes, a bit of an accident with the forum software.

    I think the English is hard-coded into the Clause Database being searched.

    If you type verb: an autocompleter should pop up that shows you valid options. (Valid for verb: but may not find results in combination with your other search terms.) For example, the following works for LHB: subject:A Man verb:speak

    Note that the clause search appears to be extremely limited on the resources it can search:

    Where does the English come from? In trying to support a particular forumite, I couldn't get a verb to work.
