Need better clippings organization

I finally got a chance to try to use clippings for researching a short paper I have to write. I was able to save lots of info as clippings and I tagged them along the way. The thought was that I could then rearrange all the cards to the different sections of my paper.
Unfortunately, there is no way to filter by tags. In fact, tagging individual clippings seems nearly useless. Additionally, dragging cards is terribly slow when trying to scroll off screen.
Clippings seemed like a nice feature, but it is very clunky and nearly unusable for more than about 10 clippings.

I use clippings more than just about any other feature, and I agree, it needs some work.
It also needs added to the web app. I have a hard time believing such a useful tool hasn't made its way into the WA.

I agree that the Clippings feature is clunky when it comes to dragging clips around, but it is infinitely preferable to the still-born Bible Study feature as a standalone tool for bible study (its toolbar is deficient as well as the organization of comment blocks).

Matt : this might not exactly address your point that "there is no way to filter by tags" in Clippings, however I have used Search > Docs > mytag:tag_name with some success. In the example below, all Clippings tagged with "quote" show up in the search results. This gives you a list, but then you still need to click individual clippings to open them.
This isn't "filtering" per se, but at least it gives you a list of Clippings that match your criteria.
