Can't turn off banners

When opening Logos I often see a banner encouraging me to upgrade to the newest version of Logos. I tried turning banners off in Program Settings, but it is greyed out. "This setting can only be changed when using a qualifying product that is licensed." I have an account, and have been using Logos for about 10 years, but am not planning to switrch to a subscription. I am attaching a screen shot.

Wow. I thought they might try to do that.
Hopefully, it's unintended … though Biblia is now an advertising platform. Can barely see the Bible-ia.

If you close the banner by clicking the x in the upper-right corner, does the banner return at this location when you open Logos again?
I believe the intention is that it will not.

As of mid-2023 (v28), turning off the Show Banners setting requires ownership of a Logos 8, 9, or 10 base package or (now) an active subscription.

Wow. I knew Logos would eventually go there. Already! Better tell Mark.

Thanks for your prompt replies. If I click on the X, it closes the banner, but it reappears in a day or 2.
I own a base package in Logos 8 and 9, current version 39.1, but do not have a subscription (and don't plan to any time soon).

Is this intentional @Andrew Batishko, or is this a bug? I know there have been issues with banners reappearing in the past. My understanding was that persistently reappearing banners would be limited to the Dashboard space.

@Jim Goos let me clarify that I am referring to owning a paid Feature Package from 8, 9, or 10. I'm not referring to having run that version of the application (which was available to everyone) or to the freely available upgrade packages.

@Jim Goos we did fix a bug with banners reappearing after having clicked the "x" button to dismiss them. That was fixed in December in version 38. Can you confirm that you've tried dismissing the banner since that time and had the same banner reappear?

It occurred on Tuesday and Wed this week but I will try again and let you know. Thanks

Thanks also for the clarification. I own a Starter package but not a paid Feature package
