Good morning one and all!
How do I search for words in common between Paul and James in NA28?
Thank you,
Mark A. Ellis
I get 32 parings with Smart Bible Search in NA28, sometimes there are two passages from Paul paired with one from James.
What version of Logos? Do you have Smart Bible Search, which requires a subscription.
I did a Smart Bible Search in NA28 for "words common between Paul and James"
Logos 40.1 with Max subscription yielded reasonable results, although of limited value. The first results were Romans 2:13 and James 1:22-23. In all there are 8 pairs of verses.
Hi, Jack. Thank you for your quick response! I am using Logos 40.1.10. My first Logos purchase was when it was still CDWord, via Dallas Seminary. "I don't leave home without it." 😁 Mark
My experience with Logos only goes back to Libronix, which required me to trick my Mac into thinking it was Windows.
Was my response helpful? I first tried your question by searching NASB. That was a mess!
I believe you should use the word list feature. You would need to create one for the letters of Paul and then for the book of James. And then merge the two lists together using them words common in each list.
I wrote this from memory. I am away from my computer right now.
Hope this helps.
Hi Everyone I was wondering if there has been any update on the progress of this series, specifically regarding outstanding titles yet to be added. Also, if anyone knows how the recent transition over to Baker will affect anything? Finally, if you own the series, are the outstanding titles added to your account, or do they…
I have Logos Max and have one resource open (see screenshot below). I'm not a power user of the app but the app's suggestion seemed interesting. Maybe it's part of the AI offerings. The prompt about hitting "+" appeared at the top of the window, but pressing the "+" key doesn't seem to do anything. Is this supposed to open…
In the context of preparing a Bible Study, I wanted to create a slide with some general background information about a particular bible book. However, I know that some of the print versions of resources have these really nice colorful call out and insets. However, using the media tool on desktop, I couldn’t find anything…
I am putting together a custom reading plan based on what our church is going to do next year. I accidentially put in three references for one day. How do I correct that.
I have a typed quote in my sermon that I want to convert to a slide. The quote is not from Logos content. When I do use a quote from Logos content, using Visual Copy, the slide has a field for Author. But if I use "Add slides from selected text" in the Sermon Builder, the Author field is not present. Is there a way to add…
