Allow enable/disable of video input while on air
For the sermon, our pastor uses his own laptop/tablet, which we then bring in to Proclaim as a video input using an HDMI to USB converter (an Elgato Camlink 4K). This gives us a lot of flexibility — it allows the pastor/speaker to use whatever they prefer (PowerPoint, Canva, Mac, iPad, Windows, etc.) and to slide advance directly on their device. This is especially nice for a bible conference with several speakers! This was our standard flow using ProPresenter, before we switched to Proclaim.
However, there are several barriers that make this approach difficult using proclaim. We also produce an NDI lower-thirds output for streaming/video production. These conflict — the video input overlays the lower-thirds NDI output. For more discussion, see https://faithlife.com/posts/6004147.
So, I have a feature request/bug report
- We would like the ability to enable/disable the video input while on air.
- We would like to avoid quitting/restarting Proclaim to get NDI working; going off air then back on air causes vmix (which we use for streaming) to lose the lower thirds NDI input.
- We would like an option on the confidence display to show the video input, so the pastor/conference speaker can see what's being projected.
Thanks!
