The size of my display to the congregation is being reduced by a header of the slide name and a footer of the time. Is this caused by the new masking feature? The header and footer do not show on the computer monitors.
it sounds like you are sending the Confidence screen instead of your Slides.
Go to Settings > Display and scroll down to the outputs section and ensure your projectors are set to Slides.

Currently our Confidence Monitor is set for a black background and white letters. If we use black letters on our slides, the Confidence Monitor also changes to black letters and then we can't see them. The default font for the Confidence Monitor is set to white.
