for instance - can I find subject:God and a verb from LN range 24.52-70
I am not sure. The following shows that it is possible to look for LN references, but my attempts to look for a range did not work. Either it does not work or there may be a search syntax trick.
The other option, of course, could be to use logical operators but that may not be practical.
A workaround could be to (1) run a morph search using the range you want and the verb criterion, (2) save as passage list and (3) search your subject in clause search against that passage list.
Generally, passage lists are a good medium to find ways to carry out searches that are beyond any one mode search.
the reason for the search is to find other verbs in the same domain with God as the subject. for instance: God as the subject of different verbs for seeing. Or God as the subject and a LN domain as the predicate
@Dick Roberts I get that. The passage list method might include false positives if there are more than one verb in the passage list verses. So there could be verses from the passage list in which the LN domain is found and God the subject in different clauses or God is the subject of a different verb. Short of a better method, you could give it a try and see if it's easy to sort through.
Would a search like this work for you?
this would work but I am looking for verses that use verbs from the LN Domain 24 where God is the subject of those verbs. I tried to use your query but changed SPEAKER to SUBJECT and it did not accept it. I tried a Clause search and it would not accept the LN part of the query.
For me the value of search by LN domains is that you do not have to know every verb used in the domain before you can do your search. I am still learning many Logos features. Maybe one question would be can you use LN domains in a clause search?
This search did not work:
This is the only one out of multiple searches that I tried that worked for me:
I think I read something about buying Verbum or Orthodox libraries causing many of your books to have links to catholic resources that you don't have in your library. If I wanted some books that are a good price in Verbum or Orthodox packages, does it actually affect links in my existing books?
@Mark Barnes (Logos) My profile currently shows I am set up to auto-renew at the end of next year but the price shown indicates it will auto-renew for only one year. I would like to be able to preset the option the renew for two full years instead of only one (assuming I don't turn it off). Is that something Logos is…
I have set up a non-public group with another Logos user and would like to exchange documents in a simple way. I have the following (initial) questions: 1. Where can I find a more comprehensive guide to this feature? The help function is still politely described as “rudimentary” ;-) 2. how can I share many documents (my…
It is so distracting. I've looked everywhere for an option to turn this off. Like everything in Logos, I find the GUI counter-intuitive and frustrating to use. Nothing is easy to find. I only keep using it because it has better materials than competitors, not because I enjoy using it.
As a result of the forced Windows 11 upgrade, I've had to reinstall the logos application. In the process of this despite the setup program supposedly allowing for an entire library download, I could not get it to work. However, the program did indicate the library correctly and began doing the infamous 100 book per…
