Hi,
A set of Audio + Text-Visual features requested as follows.
I request LOGOS to link audio and visual texts … such that when a select audio is played out in a particular pane, the corresponding text should be displayed when required (if activated) in a linked pane. The text may be a select portion of a Bible, or a book.
To explain the features desired:
Users should have the facility to:
1. Link an audio Bible (eg. Hear The Word ESV Audio) with a corresponding Bible (eg ESV) opened in a different pane, such that. as the audio proceeds, the corresponding words are highlighted in the text of the other pane in parallel. [This is already available in some Bible softwares in the market-place. And LOGOS, for the many excellent features as it has, should not lag behind here.]
2. I would appreciate having this feature also for any book being read aloud ... not merely for 2 or 3 select Bibles. (So … merely logically extending the idea a bit further.)
3. If a paragraph is highlighted (or marked) for listening, then likewise the text marker should move along the display in tune with the audio being read.
4. The facility for changing Narrator's voice must be given across the board and not only for two or three select Bibles (or books). The changeto Narrator Voice selection should be facilitated to accommodate any of the voices available as standard issue on a particular device downloaded separately and activated at user's choice. So LOGOS need not pay royalty for voices (if that commercial issue begins to be reckoned as a relevant factor. [And … The reasonable exception for the 'across the board' feature request might be for 'Mobile Ed's and the like being sold by LOGOS.]
5. Do the same as in (1) above, but hearing Hebew or Greek Bibles as needed. So, I'll hear the Greek text (or Hebrew text) read aloud, but will also see the English word texts (or phrase) highlighted in the corresponding linked pane. This enhances learning and memorisation in languages.
These features might kindly be made available across all devices … Desktop / iPads / Mobiles / Web.
Blessings,
In Christ Jesus,
Tony.
