Request for new AI "synthesize" tool - synthesize multiple selected texts

Hi Logos team,

Please make an AI-driven tool that allows a user to select multiple sections of text from different resources and combine them into a newly synthesized text

synthesize definition: combine a number of things into a coherent whole

Example of usage: I pull up my commentaries (e.g. from Factbook) on a particular passage and am able to select several of them, then I can select "synthesize" and an AI-driven tool combines all the selected information into a new paragraph (or series of paragraphs). I can then also use the existing "summarize" tool to provide a summary of the newly synthesized information. Also, I'm able to save or copy the synthesized text or summary into a custom commentary.

The "smart synopsis" feature available under "smart search" is already doing a similar function (but maybe also summarizing the results at the same time. ?). So, it seems like the capability of Logo's AI to perform such a task, to combine multiple pieces of text information, is already in place and could readily be re-applied to a feature such as this.

I would have serious concerns regarding the violation of copyrights as the synthesis would be under very strict rules regarding the text being substantially different than the input. These concerns may or may not be well founded as the relationship between AI training and copyrights are still being ironed out in the courts.

Isn't copyright only an issue if the produced text is published or distributed while also having similar wording or phrasing? Using such a tool to synthesize multiple texts for personal study would avoid the unlawful distribution part. As far as the textual part, it would depend to what degree the AI changes the words, phrasing, structure, and style of the source texts, but I would guess the process of synthesizing different texts would, by its nature, substantially change those things. Also, An AI could receive an additional instruction in such a case to change the wording etc. enough to avoid copyright violation.

The example posted above doesn't really resemble any of the source texts (but I'm not a well-informed person on copyright issues).

If copyright issues are a barrier, tests can be run on sample texts and their synthesized results compared to the source texts to see if the AI produces something that would be an issue or not.

One can produce a Synopsis of a passage from a limited Collection of commentaries e.g. What are the main points of Is 28:15? My collection was 5 volumes on Isaiah. It is interesting that the AI used comments on the passage from outside ch 28 e.g. from Is 5, Is 36.
