change the search to take you directly to the passage

In the mobile app, It used to be, when I typed a specific passage, such as Luke 4 or Galatians 5, and hit the search button (magnifying glass), it would take me straight to that passage. now it pulls up some funky list. Instead, when I start typing, I have to wait for everything to populate, then scroll to "table of contents" and click on that. Why the change? This makes more steps for me and takes more time. Please change this back to the way it was or perhaps a setting that can be changed by the user.

Try tapping the current reference (not the magnifying glass) and you should see a place to enter the reference above the verse picker.

You have fallen for a common error even among some longtime users. When you have a reference you want to look it up not search for it. You search for things where you don't know where it is. You look things up when it is a matter of going to a known location. You look up a word in a dictionary; you search for a word in a novel. You look up a reference in a Bible; you search for a reference in a monograph. Trust me - if you make this one distinction, Logos suddenly works much better.

wrong, I do not want to look it up. I didn't realize there was a search bar in the "look up" section, so before I hated having to pick the book, then the chapter, then the verse. It was faster to just search Luke 8, and boom there it was. Then they changed the app. Using the search bar to LOOK UP the passage is the way I do it. I am "searching" for that passage. I may already know where it is, but I want to get there the fastest and it used to work just fine…for years.

I didn't realize that section was there. Ultimately, that is the same number of "clicks" so I guess I'm stuck with that. It's just frustrating when something works fine for literally years, and then they change it.

For the record, on Bibles, the above is true enough. On monographs (page number), you search for it. Not quite consistent.

I believe this has been acknowledged as a bug and being worked on.
