I have recently completed a MS in Learning Design and have been thinking of ways to incorporate learning theories into the preaching and discipleship ministries of the church. I think it would be helpful if Logos could develop an AI tool into its platform that would allow users to upload a sermon manuscript and then ask the system to recommend some activities that the congregation could do during the week to help them reflect on the sermon and how it applies to their lives. To make this an even better tool, it should include the ability to modify/refine the activities to help the user tailor the activities to their congregation (including activities parents could do with their children).
For example, we preached a sermon on the parable of the sower in Mt 13, and we sent home an activity sheet with questions for self-reflection and group discussion, as well as activities to help the congregation how to recognize and remove things in their lives that were making the soil of their hearts more hard/rocky/thorny. The attached document is an early version of this we tested with a focus group at our church. The Self-Reflection, Discussion, and Activities were generated using ChatGPT, while the daily devotionals were generated using pulpitai.
I know this would require a lot of programming by Logos and knowledge of the correct learning theories, but I feel that this would become a valuable resource for Logos users wanting to help their people find ways to re-engage and apply their messages.
