Change Desktop to download my library's books only as I go?

Hey all! I have Logos Desktop set to download all my books all the time. This of course takes up Much Hard Disk Space on my Surface Pro 9. 😁

Is there any easy way to turn that off OR would it be better to simply re-download and install Logos purposely with the Small Footprint option (i.e. only the books I open will be downloaded, leaving the great majority of my 8000+ library in the cloud till I need/use them?) Can I use the Devices section to select/unselect them all or anything like that?

Thanks! I have purchased a 1TB card for the tablet, but until I have time to get everything transferred over and working, this might be my simplest option.

You've already the best method to start out clean - reinstall.

There's another way but requires more steps using the Library, select multiple resources & then click on Download → Remove from device.

p/s : I look forward to the days where I can have that number of resources 🤤🤤

Thanks for your help, Michelle! And yes, I have been on Logos since you had to buy it on a CD at the Local Christian Book Store as part of some preacher's-books-on-CD type of offering (or was it diskettes?! Oh well… my first official purchas from Logos was 2003) And in those many years, I have added resources a bit at at time, investing in my library as good deals have come up (MARCH MADNESS! :-), with the odd "More expensive upgrade" interspersed in there, you know, like a Gold Upgrade back in 2014, that kind of thing… and of course, I make sure ALWAYS to get ALL the free books and audiobooks every month, God bless Logos!

I had the opportunity to thank them all personally in 2016 when I travelled out West to visit my brother, and we took a trip down to the US to visit Seattle, stopping in Bellingham for a tour that I'd arranged. It was awesome to see how The Holy Sausage is made, LOL! My only disappointment that day was that Bob Pritchett just didn't happen to be around for me to thank him personally. I highly recommend it to any Logos user who's in that neck of the woods! I remember my sister-in-law, who doesn't use Logos or anything (although she did get me to print her out a 1-year Bible-reading plan using it LOL!). She IS a book lover, though, and was especially impressed with all the beautifully designed Lexham books on display, which also impressed me as well, even if I am becoming more and more electronic as I age due to space restrictions.

May your own collection and wisdom through it continue to grow, but always remember, BIBLE FIRST! Amen?
