I want to find a sentence containing both the words: godliness and being
I'd probably search 'godliness NEAR being' (without the quotes).
Okay, maybe with the quotes, like this: "godliness" NEAR "being"
When I ran a search without the quotes, I got other forms of the words (godly, be, etc). There's a probably a way to turn off matching all forms of the word in an inline search, but I have no idea how. When I search with quotes, I got only the actual words.
Oops … I should 'read'!
Hi @Roger Owen
Are you looking specifically for these two words to be in the same sentence?
I ask because the standard "search boundary" in Logos is the verse level.
Specifically those two words in the same sentence in the book, "Spiritual Disciplines For the Christian Life"
@Roger Owen
Is this what you were looking for?
I couldn't do an inline search because the book (revised edition) is in my print library. I have the first edition in Logos, and I did an inline search on that one but with no results.
The command using NEAR suggested by Yasmin may well be the best option - but please note it constrains results to where search terms are within 48 characters of each other.
Alternatively you could try WITHIN n WORDS and try different values of n
Logos doesn't support "within sentence searching" constraints.

I have a new book coming out (03 March) from publisher Morgan James, Crowns of Valor—Bold Leaders, Arise!, how can I appeal for Logos to include this book in various libraries and sell it on their webpage?

Hi- I am trying to set up a reading plan for "The Bible Recap: A One Year Guide…" I can't get a new reading plan to start Jan 1st, with the first reading session. It wants to include introduction and contents page. Also, it breaks in the middle of pages, not at the beginning and ending of sessions for each day's reading.…
I want to check back and see what I actually paid for in the 2025 researcher library. Now that page does not even exist! How do I know that you actually give me what I paid for? How do I even know what was included? Please, someone from Logos get the page back up for our reference!
