Imported Photo Aspect Ratio

Wen I import a photo from a phone with a vertical or horizontal aspect ratio Proclaim "squishes it" in to an almost square aspect ratio which distorts the image. People either end up short and fat or tall and skinny. When I select the picture there are side and top/bottom handles for resizing but they don't change the aspect ratio, just expand or contract the whole image. I am on Windows 10 and the latest version of Proclaim.

What am I missing? How do you get rid of imported image distortion?

not sure why this is happening for you. We will try on our end.

To fix it, hold control and then drag the sides. This unlocks the aspect ratio and will let you fix it. Release control, and it should lock again

(I’m pretty confident it is the control key, but I’m not sitting in front of my Windows computer. So if it doesn’t work, try alt)
