I am enquiring about one section of the pronunciation section of Logos software. I am not a Hebrew speaker and my wife has only the smallest amount of Hebrew, so I find the exegetical guide which includes a pronunciation section helpful.
I am referring to the words that are used in Ruth 1:6-22 which are translated into English variously as ‘return’, ‘brought back’, 'turn back’ etc. These are pronounced in one way in Logos, but this does not correspond to pronunciations given on the Internet as ‘Shoov’. I realise that the Internet is not infallible, but several sites that appear to be sensible give the pronunciation as ‘Shoov’.
Could you advise me, please?
