How to Create a Hyperlink in a Note

I am creating a sermon outline in notes and would like to have a scripture reference open up my favorite bible to that reference when I click on it. Is there a way to make this happen?
Blessings,
Mike

If you type the reference (E.G. Gen 2:15) it should automatically create a hyperlink. If you then CTRL+CLICK on it it should open.
Sarcasm is my love language. Obviously I love you.

I might add, I usually have to space after the reference to get it to turn to a hyperlink.

That was my problem, I wasn't hitting the spacebar. I was just clicking in another area. Thanks for the responses, they were very helpful.

Thanks for all your work on the Wiki!
However, you might want to add that automatic Bible links don't work on Mac yet. [:'(]
(And if you're really ambitious you can also add Rut, Est, and Hagg to the list of acceptable Bible book abbreviations on that linked page.)
(And, yes, one day I will learn to do it myself, but right now I don't even have enough time to learn the program properly.)

A space is not really necessary. When I enter a link I paste the URL into the Hyperlink Box then simply click anywhere on the page. If you forget to "set" the link, however, and migrate to a different window it's lost.

George, I partly understand what your saying but some of it isn't quite clear to me. I am using windows and the OP wanted a link from notes back to his Bible. The two easiest ways are to type the reference and hit the space bar and its done. The second way is to click on the reference box in your Bible so that the reference turns blue and drag it to your note and then click outside your note. You don't have to copy or paste anything. Is this what you meant and are you using windows?

I don't think so, but perhaps I'm not understanding you correctly. What I do is to position the window with the item I want to appear when I click on a link at the top of the page. If it's a bible passage, that can be done by entering the book, chapter & verse in the address bar of the resource. I then click on the image of the resource so that the list drops down with with the link set, float this window, etc and click on "Copy location as URL" which I paste into the Hyperlink box in my note file then click on the body of the note file. I hope I've given enough detail for this to be clear. If not, just reply "Mud." [;)]

Wow, didn't know you could do that! Of course, being on Mac, I can't yet [:(], but it'll come in very handy some day...

There are 4 types of Bible links in notes.
1. Link to your Preferred Bible (one that you setup as preferred Bible in your Home page)
This is usually done inside the body of a note. You might have several scripture references in the body which would open your preferred Bible to specific verses. (see wiki Creating a Link to your favorite Bible)
This is done by just typing your Bible reference in your note (with a couple of requirements, see wiki above). Or dragging a reference from a reference box and dropping it into your note as Jerry mentioned. In both cases L4 links to your Preferred Bible. These do not show up in your Bible(s).2. Link to a specific Bible (one that may not be your preferred Bible)
This method works as you would create a link to any other resource in your library. You have to add text in the body of your note and then get the URL from the resource that you want and paste it into the hyperlink box of your note file (after selecting the text you entered)
See wiki Creating a Link to a specific Bible or Creating hyperlinks to other resources This is George's method. These do not show up in your Bible(s).
3. Link a Note in all Bibles (linked from a Bible, creates a Hyperlink to a specific note)
See wiki Adding a note to a Bible reference in all Bibles
The title for this specific note is linked to the Bible reference and will appear in any Bible NT which has the visual filter menu set to show this Note file.
If you click on the title of this note, L4 will open your Preferred Bible to that location. If you click on the colored note box in a Bible it will open your note file and position that specific note within the view.4. Link a Note to a specific Bible (linked from a Bible, creates a Hyperlink to a specific note)
See wiki Adding a note via highlighting text in a Bible resource
The title for this specific note is linked to the Bible reference and
will only appear in the Bible in which it was created.
If you click on the title of this note, L4 will open
your Preferred Bible to that location. If you click on the colored note
box in a Bible it will open your note file and position that specific
note within the view.0 -

Will do, Keep Smiling 4 Jesus has created a page of Mac/PC differences.

This is a Logos webpage, we cannot edit them.
