Resources from L4 to L3?

Is there any way to have all of my Logos 4 resources available in Libronix?

Hi Rod
There is a useful discussion of this in http://community.logos.com/forums/t/23037.aspx - including the comment that not all L4 resources will be available in Libronix although most will.
Hope this helps

Yes it is.If you visit this page: http://wiki.logos.com/Re-install_resources_for_Libronix_3
you will see two links at the top (LE and KF). LE is the new library (for people who bought Logos 4 since the 2011 NIV came out), whereas KF is for those who bought L4 prior to that. Choose the one that describes you, and follow the links there.
After you've done that, it's worth going back to the page and running all the update scripts there, just to make sure you have everything.
Note: If you want to avoid a large download, you should first copy ALL your Logos 3 format files from your Logos 4 resources folder into your Logos 3 resources folder. I can explain how to do this if you need more information.

Mark,
I do need help with that copying stuff. I am very handicapped when it comes to computer stuff. It's why I have waited so long to ask. I've read posts that seem like I need a degree in IT just to understand.[:$]
Thanks

OK, I'll do my best.
- Go to the Windows Start menu and Computer.
- Go into Drive C.
- If the folder Program Files (x86) is listed, go into that. If not, go into Program Files
- Go into Libronix DLS
- Go into Resources
That's your L3 resources folder on the screen. Leave it there, because now we're going to find your L4 resources folder.
- Go to the Windows Start menu and Computer.
- In the search box type %localappdata% and press enter. This should open up new window.
- In that new window, go into Logos4
- Go into Data
- Go into the randomly-named folder
- Go into ResourceManager
- Go into Resources
That's your L4 resources folder. Now, re-size and move those two folder, so you can see them both at the same time. Then:
- In your L4 folder, in the top-right corner, there should be a search box. Type *.lbxlls into it.
- The folder should then update, and it will be showing only L3 compatible resources.
- Click in any whitespace in your L4 folder and press CTRL+A on the keyboard. Now all these files should be selected.
- Now, with the right-mouse button, drag these files from your L4 window, into your L4 window. It's really important you use the right-mouse button, not the left.
- When you let go of the right-mouse button, you'll get a little menu. Choose Copy here from the menu. All the files should copy (it might take a minute or two).
We've now copied over all the resources how have in L4 that haven't been updated to the new L4 format. Let's check it worked.
- Load Libronix. In the bottom right-hand corner it should say Discovering Resources. Wait until it's finished doing that.
- Now open your library. You should see some of your L4 resources in your L3 library.
- Now you can exit L3.
You'll now need to download the resources that couldn't be copied over to L3 because you only had them in L4 format. To do that, follow the links in my first post.
If something goes wrong, let me know, and also tell me what version of Windows you're using (XP, Vista, or 7), and if you know 32 or 64 bit.

Ok,
Ok, this link (from one the pages Mark mentions) should and any books missed by Mark's steps above. Click the link and follow the Libronix Update prompts.

Mark,
That worked! Thanks again. One more question - how to I copy the bibliography to Zotero?

Glad it worked. Here's the Zotero instructions: http://blog.logos.com/archives/2010/06/exporting_your_logos_4_library_to_zotero.html

Help, ever since I did this re-insatll resources for Libronix 3 the passage guide window does not work. When I go to Tools >Bible Study > Passage Guide, the window opens, I enter a scripture reference, hit enter and nothing happens. The only way the Passage guide works now is when I open it from the Home screen.
I already did a re-install of Libronix 3 and that didn't fix this. How can I fix this?

Do you by chance have the IE 9 RC on your machine? It will break Libronix. Follow these instructions to fix it http://community.logos.com/forums/t/30926.aspx

Thanks Kevin, that was it. Not only do I have the Passage Guide back, but now the Account Management and Sync Licenses work so all my new resources show up too.
Thanks a million, I knew someone had the answer.

I still have a question. In L4, I have the reverse interlinear incorporated into th KJV, LEB, etc. How can I get the reverse interlinear in L3??
Am I out of luck or can I get a reverse interlinear for L3.

The only reverse-interlinears that were available in L3 were for the NRSV and the ESV and they were separate resources, not integrated like in L4. Look in your Library for them and if you don't find them I suggest you call Logos and ask.
