Thank you for sharing it. It really does help me understand better. My daddy is still alive, healthy and still preaching and pastoring (54 years now.) He never shied away from disciplining his children.  And he was always there for us. I have not experienced anything different with him. I praise God for being there for you and will not persuade you to view God as anything other than loving and just.
