On the mac for a while now I have a only seen a very limited and partial view of my current location within a resource as shown here:

You'll note that there is PLENTY of space, yet you cannot read the parents (both starting with "Th") nor the current location (In the U).
When I mouse over a particular segment in the current location, Things don't really improve, but they do change somewhat:

Now I cannot see the current location at all, nor the mouse'd over parent location, while its parent remains totally obscured.
But watch this magic when I open the table of contents!

This demonstrates that the problem is surely not space, but something to do with the algorithm used to determine the proper rendering when the resource is rendered initially. After re-rendering, it appears to address the issue in most cases.
Obviously, this problem is worst where nesting is 3+ levels deep, but this still shows with even two layers in many cases.
Here is an excerpt of the Logos4.log when I actually click on the location bar resource (rendering of the second attached image) and when I click to open the TOC (thereby correcting the rendering):
