I was really hoping that I would't need any more MRIs - but I had my doubts. Since friends in New Zealand and in Australia are still writing - it would appear that the world is quite stable. I guess I will have to plan on some more MRIs in the future.

After all, some supposedly "intelligent" people apparently believe in the far nuttier and more lunatic idea that Israel should recede to its 1967 borders and give its land to its terrorist-allied neighbors.

Yeah, but even the majority of Christendom is painting all "fundamentalists" with the "Harold Camping" brush. I can assure you NO ONE among the few thousand "fundamentalists" I know believes date-setters. (And they don't agree with Fred Phelps either.[:@] )

Agree 110%. I also fear that many will be fall away/be driven away from the faith by this event (please note that I'm not making any statement regarding eternal security...I'm just saying that many unbelievers will use this as one more reason to cement their unbelief and that many people that at least claim to be Christian will walk away.)
