Unable to hide resources

I am trying to hide resources, but not succeeding. I opened My Library and Program Settings in 2 windows. I expanded Hidden Resources. Then I tried dragging a resource from the library to Hidden Resources. No matter where I move it, I get the blue box showing it wants to open the resource. What I am doing wrong?

Harry, whatever you do do not click on the Book title or the Book cover. You must click on another column. Clicking on title or cover will open the resource.
