Appears zip file has same stuff as 4.3 Beta 13 crashes when opening a saved layout, console messages from 12 May 2011 and Logos4_Crash for version 4.22.51109 on 12 Jun 2011.
For Logos 4.3 after Beta 5, need to turn on Mac Diagnostic Logging to create Logos4.log and Indexer.log files.
By the way, wiki Mac Troubleshooting => How to Report Bugs in Logos 4 Mac includes link to Logos Log Scribe (that would update console messages before zipping Logging folder).

My 4.3 beta was crashing every time I typed in Psalm 78 (I stuck with that since it's what caused my crash the first time).
The layout for Passage Guide would begin to populate then POOF, gone. I recently upgraded to Lion so I decided to absolutely remove the entire install, every folder and hidden file.
The 'default' update tree was fine, but I wanted some of the fixes in the beta - so I turned on the beta tree. Same crash! After reading Keep Smilin somewhere in a forum post share (I think Otto discovered this), that turning on logging stopped crashes I tried it.
INDEED, the crash is gone. I'm keeping logging on for now on in my beta.
Glad it was an easy fix for now.

Ok, I still crash sometimes. So this is NOT fixed with logging enabled. It's just a coincidence. I tested this now some dozen times.
I'll have to go back to the stable tree, I don't have time to troubleshoot this.

If have a crash with diagnostic logs, please reply and attach archive with logs.

Wiki Mac Troubleshooting => Want to downgrade from Beta to Stable section includes: "... If want to downgrade from Beta to Stable version, need to Completely Uninstall Beta ..."
Apologies: not know if Logos 4.3 Release Candidate 1 will become stable version this week or whether to anticipate Logos 4.3 Release Candidate 2 (also aware of sync issue in 4.3 Release Candidate 1).

One more idea: to fix a Bible search results issue in Logos 4.3 Beta 9, used command rebuild bible index
Wonder if rebuilding bible index affects opening a saved layout ?
Note: Bible index is quicker to rebuild than Library index.

Nope have just tried that and it is still crashing.
Opens first page but do any search and it dies.

Please elaborate about "Opens first page ...", a screenshot would be appreciated. Wondering about search ? (Basic, Bible, Morph, Syntax)
Also would like to see diagnostic logs with crash: wiki Mac Troubleshooting => How to Report Bugs in Logos 4 Mac section has steps.

If you have Lion installed and are loading a layout, this is most likely related to a crash that developers are working to fix for RC2.
