Proclaim won't Stop/Quit

I was working on this sundays presentation. I hit "on air" to see how it looked
I could not get the the program to stop- nothing worked! I could not get into any other program at all.
I finally had to shut down my MB Pro and restart it....
Any ideas?

Hi Kenny
This sounds like a crash - if it happens again please submit your logs following the instructions in the third post from the top of this forum.
Without wishing to teach my grandmother to suck eggs may I ask if you tried to force quit the program from the dock?
(Secondary Click on the icon and change 'Quit' to 'Force Quit' by holding the Alt key down.)

Hey Mike,
I tried everything to get it to quit, What was weird is that I could not access any thing else- I couldn't go to any other app-force quit or anything it was :stuck on Proclaim and that was it!.

Kenny,
As Mike observed, that's a pretty bad-sounding crash. The architecture of modern operating systems (OS X normally being a very good example) is meant to avoid allowing one application to affect the others. Under normal circumstances, Proclaim (or any other program) shouldn't be able to crash your whole system like that. Do you have anti-virus software running? What version of OS X are you running, with how much RAM? (Apple menu -> About this mac).
If you can reproduce this crash and get us the crash log this is definitely something we would want to look into.
Thanks,

Hi Kenny
Never having really considered running anti-virus on any of my Macs I took a look at the Sophos home page.
It does seem to have a number of unhappy customers!

The logs from any subsequent recurrence would be very useful.
As an aside - is there any particular reason you are running anti-virus on your mac?

Mike,
I guess the reason i'm running anti-virus is because of the years spent using Windoze has me gun-shy.If you think it might be conflicting with Proclaim i can easily disable it.

I also posted a log of what I "think" may have been the issue: its the only thing in the log file folder.

You might like to look at the middle section of this page

I (personally would give it the boot). But then I moved to Mac's because, in general, I found that with windows I bought a good operating system and then crippled it with Anti-Virus routines.

Hi Kenny
I don't see the log files attached to any of your posts.
Follow the instructions in the third post of this forum and use the paper clip to attach.
