Yesterday, Roger Olson started a new series in his blog, discussing the new book "The Gospel as Center" http://www.patheos.com/blogs/rogereolson/2012/03/part-1-of-a-new-series-responses-to-the-gospel-as-center-by-members-of-the-gospel-coalition  Olson intends to go through all of the fourteen chapters of the book one by one.

This may become an interesting read - and everyone may read along in their own copy of "the Gopsel as Center" - but wait: The 2012 Crossway book consists of 14 booklets that serve as explanations to The Gospel Coalition's ( see http://www.thegospelcoalition.org ) Foundation document, also included.

Since all of the booklets are available in Vyrso http://vyrso.com/products/search?q=the+gospel+coalition&Author=Keller%2c+Timothy and the Foundation in Logos http://www.logos.com/product/5163/gospel-coalition-foundation-documents , I acquired all of this in the past!

This PB "recreates" the book by linking its parts from the TOC - I choose to link to the booklets' contents pages for mouse-over.

The picture and preface come from http://www.crossway.org/books/the-gospel-as-center-hcj/

I read the article you linked to and found it worthwhile. Thanks.

I built your book, but found that it links to Vysro resources I don't have and don't want to buy so your book isn't useful for me, but thanks anyway.

    Have a great day,

Thanks for putting this together.  Much appreciated. Nice way to make use of these resources.  Might be interesting to put Olsen's Article's together in a PBB when all done so they can be read alongside the resources for a comparative study.

Yes, I thought I made this clear. These resources are available for small fee in Vyrso (well, it accumulates if one buys all of them).

EDITED: It seems, TGC not only sell them in paper (see http://thegospelcoalition.org/tgcbooklets ) but make some or all available as PDFs - at least I got

so you may change the docx to link these.

Yes [H] . Actually that's what I'm doing with a second version of the docx... but I'm not much into crosslinking etc, so I have to scroll manually or use Ctrl-F to locate the text-snippets Olson uses to anchor his review.

Too bad Vyrso is 65% higher than Amazon. The total price for all 14 booklets in Vyrso comes to $20.43 (with tax) compared to Amazon's price of $12.41 for the book which includes all the articles. I never post complaints about Logos' high prices because people almost always defend the higher prices on the forums.

Hopefully Logos can at least be competitive with the market and offer a bundled discount on all 14 booklets.

They ran a sale at Christmas of last year on these at a nice discount.  Logos is good at having regular sales, it just requires patience.

But you are comparing apples to oranges here - the individual booklets are cheaper in Vyrso than in Amazon's Kindle store, I think (just spot-checked one: "What is the gospel: $1.49 vs $2.07). And when Crossway publishes the book through Vyrso (imho a when, rather than an if), it won't have a $20 price tag. But by all means, buy it today in Amazon - I really like their business, have spend hundreds of dollars there.

That said - you may as well be able to just grab booklets for free in PDF form, read them as if they were Kindle books and with a bit of effort you may make your own booklets in Logos. I shared my PB since I believed there might be others who bought the stuff last year when they were published or with the bundled sale that occured somewhen - and who now find they can save on buying "the latest Carson" since they have it already.

All fourteen booklets are available as pdfs by entering the following into a Google search:

    Gospel site:http://tgc-documents.s3.amazonaws.com/booklets/

NB You will need to copy the whole line into a Google search, not just click on the link.

In addition you may wish to take account of these updates to the Foundation Documents:

    http://thegospelcoalition.org/blogs/tgc/2011/08/05/two-changes-bring-further-clarity-to-tgcs-foundation-documents/

An updated pdf of the Foundation Documents (in English) is linked from that page. The copy of the Foundation Documents available from Logos does not have these updates but I have reported them as typos.
