Installing Logos 3 software on Logos 4
Hello everyone.
I just purchased the Advanced Greek Supplement. It was sent to me on CD because apparently, that is they only way they sell it. Now, it wants me to install the libronix software in order to install the cds, but I cannot install it on my mac. The website that came with the cds is not very helpful either. www.logos.com/serial I am supposed to insert the serial number somewhere, but I cannot find where to do it. Any help would be great, I would like to use this software as soon as possible.

Chris - Welcome to the forums!
Unfortunately, you have been misled. L3 does not run on Mac. If you purchased this from Logos, call customer service and they will be glad to give you a refund.

Alabama ... Customer Service wouldn't just give her an unlock for Logos4 on the Mac? (would have to wait for Monday)

DMB does make a good point. Actually, I was looking that up for you. It looks like all of the resources are available as downloads, except for "Learning the Basics of New Testament Greek w/ Workbook." My understanding from this investigation is that this resource isn't available for Mac. If I am wrong, customer service or another user would have to correct me. Many of these resources are also part of other packages, but not all.
I don't know what the best strategy for you would be. I would think that Logos could unlock these individual licenses for you, but I am not positive about that. Plus, if I was correct about the workbook, you would have to decide if your purchase was worth it to you.
I do think Logos needs to do a better job of bringing to the attention of the customer that this is PC, CD-Rom only and not for Mac.

Wiki has => Adding New Resources to Logos 4 that includes link => Installing Libronix Books with illustrated steps.
If only have Mac, recommend call or email to Logos Customer Service => http://www.logos.com/about/contact with Advanced Greek Supplement serial number from CD-ROM case. After serial number is unlocked for use on your Logos.com account, then could use scan optical media command, followed by restarting Logos 4 Mac so indexer could copy unlocked resource files from CD-ROM, then download any updated resource files, followed by indexing files for use in Logos 4 Mac.
If have Windows (in a virtual machine on Mac or different computer), then could install Libronix 3.0g (needs activation code) and run AutoUpdate.lbxupd script (in Setup folder) on CD so next launch of Libronix 3.0g prompts for CD-ROM serial number, then could synchronize licenses to your Logos.com account, which would allow Logos 4 Mac to download and index resource files. Note: Logos 4 is easier to install (and update) than Libronix 3.
Looking at => Advanced Greek Supplement (6 vols.) noticed description does have "The product is a CD-ROM." Likewise learned Learning the Basics of New Testament Greek w/ Workbook is not available for individual purchase. Logos resource files are identical for Mac and PC so product page has correct icons for resource usage, an * for Logos 4 users to call Customer Service with serial number for resource licenses would be appreciated.

Observation: Chris included Logos product name, can search Logos.com for Advanced Greek Supplement => http://www.logos.com/products/search?q=Advanced+Greek+Supplement that has product page as first relevant result.

KS4J, this may be true, but: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/47296.aspx, also I fail to grasp that they would sale books that are already in the L4 format with Books that are under the old format with 'limited/to no' support as ONE collection....but the truth is we really do not know...do we?
Thats why I asked for some clarification, so that we are all on the same page. And not guessing........
Furthermore, if the cd is stating install Libronix, then it is NOT L4 compatible, so the confusion lies in the statement of the web address given....possibly...

Resources created by Logos after March 31, 2012 cannot be used in Libronix 3, only Logos 4. Existing Libronix 3 resources are usable in Logos 4 on Mac and PC plus Libronix 3 on PC. Logos did not remove older Libronix 3 resources, only ceased production of new resources using old format.
My Logos 4 Mac library has four resources in => Advanced Greek Supplement (6 vols.)
Arndt, William, Frederick W. Danker and Walter Bauer. A Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament and Other Early Christian Literature. 3rd ed. Chicago: University of Chicago Press, 2000. has been updated so BDAG.logos4 would be downloaded.
Robertson, A. T. A Grammar of the Greek New Testament in the Light of Historical Research, Logos Bible Software, 1919. has been updated so GGNTLHR.logos4 would be downloaded.
Porter, Stanley E. Idioms of the Greek New Testament. Sheffield: JSOT, 1999. has been updated so IDIOMGREEKNT.logos4 would be downloaded.
Young, Richard A. Intermediate New Testament Greek: A Linguistic and Exegetical Approach. Nashville, TN: Broadman & Holman, 1994. has not been updated so Libronix 3 formatted INTNTGRK.lbxlls file would be used in Logos 4 (download from Logos or scan from CD after license unlocked for account).

CD-ROM has Libronix software for WIndows along with Libronix formatted resource files. Libronix 3 software can only be installed in Windows. After resource licenses have been unlocked, anticipating all resources in => Advanced Greek Supplement (6 vols.) being usable in Logos 4 Mac.
My Logos 4 Mac library has 1,649 resources in Libronix 3 format (*.lbxlls files) that work fine.
