Logos hanging on shutdown
Since the new update-sigh.
I am having to "Force Quit" each time I want to close Logos.
So tired of this mess.
Just reporting, don't expect a fix.

Appreciate report, not know if Logos would like diagnostic log files.
Personally have used "Force Quit" a few times. Seems "Stop Now" and "Start Now" buttons look nice, but not work well.
Wonder if launching Logos 4 Mac to work offline for a short time, then launch Logos 4 Mac normally changes need to "Force Quit" during synchronization during shutdown ?
Caveat: my "Force Quit" experience includes ending Logos 4.5b process on Windows 7 some times.

Same here - Mac Logos does not start at all since latest update. I've tried over 5 times and gave up.

Since using stable Logos 4 release, one suggestion is contacting Logos Mac Support => http://www.logos.com/about/contact
The other suggestion is enabling, then posting diagnostic log files (in a compressed archive) for Logos user and employee comments. Hopefully the log files provide insight about not starting (can compare content with logs from Logos 4.5b that is working).
Could enable diagnostic logging, restart Mac, launch Logos 4 Mac, click "Sign In" if dialog box appears. If Logos Bible Software 4 window does not appear, wait for 4 minutes. If still no window, then compress log files and attach to a forum reply. Wiki Mac Troubleshooting has => How to Report Bugs in Logos 4 Mac
Optional: download and use 5504.Logos4MacLogging.app.zip to display your logging setting, then change to enable logging.

Yes, turning internet off stopped the hangs on shutting down.
Will just leave off until needed.

When internet is on, Logos 4.5b synchronizes on startup and shutdown.
With internet off, Logos 4 performance is a bit better: e.g. Home Page does not have items to retrieve from Logos. However, Tools => Reading Lists is not usable without internet. Likewise Passage Guide has four sections that use internet. Caveat: when internet is enabled, sync may take awhile.
Logos 4 Mac program updates can be done with internet off by using wiki => Update Error steps.
To update resources or add new purchases, need internet (perhaps periodically enable internet so can download updates, otherwise work offline).
