PROCLAIM-Video but NO Audio

On many than one random occasion recently(Sunday mornings) we have gone to play a video(using local file option...because of audio/video syncing issues we have experienced in uploading) only to have NO AUDIO output from the Proclaim software. Videos play fine thru QuickTime but nothing but video output thru Proclaim.
any help would be appreciated...
Using MAC OSX 10.7.4

PS: The more recent video that WON'T PLAY AUDIO is .mpg & downloaded thru SermonSpice, although the file type does NOT seem to be the issue since others that I have play audio & video just fine... the runtime is just over 2minutes & 30 secs but the file size seems larger than normal over 90mb...again to reiterate the file plays fine thru Quicktime

Because we were experiencing continual transcoding issues with UPLOADING videos to the LOGOS server resulting in video/audio sync problems... for the last 4-5 months we ALWAYS select the LOCAL FILE option...thus avoiding the UPLOADING issue...so we know this issue is NOT a uploading one
Some videos play with audio..others don't no obvious reason why some do some don't

This is probably a long shot, but have you made sure the audio on the video and in your Mac is all the way up?
Be sure the volume settings in Proclaim have not been set to 0:
Otherwise, I have been unable to reproduce your results. Are you not having audio playing on one video, then inserting another and having it be there in the same session?
It would be helpful to see your log files per the instructions here: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/39446.aspx

Yes, volume was first thing we checked...besides other videos work fine without changing volume setting...
BTW: the problem is consistent across all 3 different MACs we have running Proclaim...same video plays but without audio
I tried to get a recent log file...but only one in that folder "Proclaim Log Files" is a beta entry from November 2011...No other folder with that name lives on my MAC that I can find

To gather your logs, navigate to:
Mac:
- /Users/[username]/(~Library)/Application Support/Proclaim/Logging/
- The Library folder might be hidden. If so, hit CMD+Shift+G and enter "~/library" into the box.
If you can, reply to this thread with those log files attached.
Also, I'd be interested in trying a copy of that same video on my machine. Do you use Dropbox? If not, you can upload and share that on http://ge.tt/.

Ok, I ran the Father's Day Dream video...the video we ran last Sunday worked perfectly both A & V
To reiterate when it does not work as with the Father's Day video... it plays the video part perfectly...just NO sound...and just in guess you are wondering I ran the volume controls on Proclaim & on my laptop all the UP...still nada; And the video file plays with BOTH video & audio with QuickTime
I don't know how the log reporting is structured but I would not think this would show as an error log...but here it is anyway8322.Proclaim.log

There wasn't anything of interest in that log. I'd be curious to see that video.
Can you create a link via Dropbox for that? Or, you can use Ge.tt | Gett sharing which is free.

Try this link I put the video in there temporarily

Are you using Windows Media Player to view that video? When I use WMP to view it the pacing is off and there is no sound. However, when I use VLC the video plays fine.

Was there ever a resolution to this problem because I have the same problem and can't seem to find a solution.

Not really...never found the reason but the problem was isolated to few purchased videos...other than that we haven't had any further problems

We have had this same issue. It appears that Mac vs PC does make a difference. MPEG-4 files will not play audio on proclaim on a Mac. .mov files will play audio on both.

Hello Devin,
I cannot reproduce your issue here. The mp4 videos on my machine play audio. Does this happen with every mp4 file you attempt to play? Or is it isolated to certain videos?

At least you were able to get the video to play. We are unable to play ANY video through Proclaim, no matter the source (purchased MPG's, inhouse MPG's or even YouTube videos. we can play them through the WMP or a browser, but not through Proclaim.
Is anyone else having video issues with Proclaim?

Hi James
As you will not in other threads I have been using videos up to last night on a variety of mac machines without problems.
MP4 videos - purchased from Sharefaith or downloaded from YouTube seem to run fine with audio. WMP files have there problems on Macs but VLC player allows them to be usable until uploaded. Once uploaded they seem to work ok.

We have the same issue. The MPEG4 videos play fine through other video players, but no audio comes out through Proclaim. What makes matters worse is that some of our laptops can play the audio, but the computer that we use for presentations, doesn't play the audio through Proclaim. So we are forced to drag the Media Player onto the projector screen to play video. Very clunky. Any thoughts?

James, I have seen this question numerous times and just solved it myself (as you can see from my post below). Hopefully, you've been able to solve it, but just in case, here's the solution.
The issue comes from a muted video inside of Proclaim. Click on the video in Proclaim and look at the preview window. There is a volume selector in the bottom right corner of the preview window of the video. If you are not getting sound, this selector will probably be at zero.
Here's a link that helped me. https://community.logos.com/forums/t/87831.aspx

This is years later but someone might come across this issue like I did and need an answer.
When you got to add the video. I assume you are using "Group Upload" under BROWSE MEDIA. Make where when you select "Add as new Video Item" you click that arrow on the right side and choose - VIDEO. It's playing it as an announcement or content, I think that's why it's not doing audio. Good luck.
