Upgrading From Logos 4.0 to 5.0 - Software only?
Is there a cost to upgrading just the software from Logos 4.0 to Logos 5.0? I'm not interested in adding new resources at this time, but I would like to have the new software to run all my existing resources.

Not exactly.
Ronald is talking about what is called the crossgrade which will include some of the databases. That will incur a cost.
However there will be a free engine download as well, which will only be the L5 program without the extra datasets.

Okay -- thanks. Sounds like I want the minimal crossgrade. I'm assuming I could buy the starter package that is offered with Logos 5.0 if I wanted to upgrade everything right away, but I'm hoping the minimal cross grade price will be much cheaper than that content package.

Just to be clear on two points:
1. make sure you're looking at logos.com/upgrade for your actual price to upgrade.
2. Not all of the datasets are in the lower end packages. I believe (without checking) that the full complement of the new datasets are in the Gold version.

David — the starter package would not be the best choice for you... If you want the NEW features, you should wait for the minimal upgrade. The starter package would give you access to the engine and updated versions of the features you have now, but would not provide you with all of the new features of L5.

Okay -- sounds like my two options right now are to wait for the minimal grade, or to upgrade now to Logos 5.0 Gold, which has all the new datasets included.
