Hm. this guy goes the way of Marcion: He takes out Luke 1-2 and the book of Acts for some spurious arguments, "recreates" Matthew and so on. I'.ve no issue with him reordering biblical books and taking some deuterocanonicals in etc. But even if he's Luther Releoaded, he shouldn't tamper with the bible as such - in my opinion.

What a GREAT New Testament!!
First off, it keeps the original pronouns (VERY important since most of the warnings etc in both the OT and NT are about the MEN.)
Second, Acts is GONE. Yes, I'd been suspicious from day 1 about Acts. Jesus' ascension, Pentecost, and Saul aka Paul deciding he'd made a REALLY big error in his excegesis. Might I ALSO note the arresting of men AND WOMEN is gone as well. Good.
I'm waiting for the software version, where you can pick and choose which sections really make a lot of sense and which need to be sent overboard to Leviathan.
(I'm so happy with the L5 crossgrade; I've lost my mind!)

I compiled it into logos as a personal book but i personally do not see much value in it for me, the sermon on the mount in mathew is reduced to:

Unix ... you were pleasantly very nice in responding to our comments. My complements. I should learn from you, and my apologies.
I am well aware of Act's issues ... one of my favorites is written by Lake early in the 1900s (I forgot the date). He goes into excruciating detail trying to figure Acts vs Galatians. If I remember correctly he also views portions of Luke as 'late'.
But that said, the whole NT has similar issues (as does the OT). I guess I'm a little more patient with the whole thing.

Well, if I say critical in the thread title I mean that.
Well, if You would read some of the footnotes in it You would see what I mean. I have the 1995 NASU and the 1989 NRSV in Logos, but not NIV2011, and I don't have them as printed matter at all. I don't regard the NIV as worth to have. I have the 1973 NIV NT in a printed parallel eight-translation NT and that's quite enough + if I upgrade I'll have the NIV Reversed Interlinear (2011 I suppose) which I would rather not have, I don't want to support that publisher. Among many other Bibles.
FYI... we have different understandings of the word critical. I consider NASB, NRSV, and NIV2011 have used critical understanding of the Greek/Hebrew text. For me, this version is another form of the thomas jefferson's bible.

I am sorry Unix, I forgot that you are not a native English person (If I remember correctly). In a nut shell, it means that we are reading our our theology into scripture. NOTE: everyone does this, and what this author did was an extreame example of it.
