It looks like your preferences database has become corrupted, and this is preventing the application from opening.
You should be able to resolve the problem by deleting the following folder. (Note that you may lose some settings, such as resource display options and visual filter settings that have not synced with the server.)
/Users/mac/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Documents/j237tc16.o4w/UserPreferences
Can you tell me how I could determine that myself? I looked through the logs, but couldn't get enough out of them to do myself any good.

That did the trick.
Now maybe I can get some work done tomorrow evening...if I've not made a glutton of myself. Hmmmm....perhaps I should not confess that possibility :-)

Noticed a SQLite database file is malformed, suggest moving folder
~/Library/Application Support/Logos4/Documents/j237tc16.o4w/UserPreferences/
to the trash, then launch Logos 4 Mac, which should recreate folder and database files.

Logos4.log file has an Error in thread 16. The stacktrace includes Preference in the calls. Earlier in the Logos4.log file, thread 16 had User Preference database file being opened.
Note: Logos 4 has three User Preference database files; the other two were opened in thread 1.
